Terms
The deal, in plain words.
These are the terms for using this site. We have written them to be understood. Last updated 1 September 2026. See also our Privacy policy and Cookie policy.
What Ethics Directive is
Ethics Directive is an independent register and assessor of AI credentials. We publish our reading of where credentials stand, a self-assessment tool, and The Minutes, built on real accounts of practitioners overruled at work. We are not a certification body, we do not issue certificates, and nothing here certifies you.
What our ratings are, and are not
- Our standings and comparisons are our informed opinion, formed from public information and dated when published. They are a guide, not a guarantee.
- We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for any standards body, any accreditation body, or any credential we describe. Names and marks belong to their owners and are used to identify and comment on them.
- Where we are uncertain, we say so. Please verify anything that matters to a decision against the primary source, which we will point you to.
The gap report
The gap report is a private prompt for reflection, built from the public overview of the standard. It does not reproduce any standard, it is not a certification, and it does not predict whether you would pass one. Treat the result as a mirror, not a mark.
Using the site fairly
- You may read, quote, and link to our public pages, with attribution. We like being cited.
- Please do not scrape the register wholesale, misrepresent our ratings, or present our words as an endorsement of a product. If in doubt, ask.
- When you submit an enquiry or offer to be interviewed, you confirm the details are yours to share and that you are not breaching a confidence by sharing them.
Copyright
The text, ratings, comparisons, and design of this site are © Ethics Directive, except where a source is credited. You are welcome to quote and link to us, as above. What you may not do is copy the site wholesale, republish our ratings as your own, or build a competing register from our work, without asking first. Credential names, logos, and standards referenced here belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify and comment on them.
Interviews and your words
If you take part in the Record, nothing you say is published until you approve it, in the form you approve. You can withdraw before publication, and you keep the right to be identified or kept anonymous as agreed.
Liability, honestly stated
We work hard to be accurate and we correct mistakes in the open. Even so, we provide this site as information, not as professional, legal, or certification advice, and we cannot accept liability for decisions made solely on it. Nothing here excludes liability the law does not let us exclude.
Changes
We will update these terms as the business grows, and we will date every change. Material changes to how we handle your data get their own notice, not a silent edit.
Where do you actually stand?
Sixteen questions, six minutes. You rate yourself on each competence area, from “not yet” to “I could evidence this to an assessor”. We hand back a profile, your strongest ground, and the gaps worth closing first. Nothing is stored unless you ask us to send it.
